**Save the date – booking opens October 2026**
Come and spend a magnificent week with us delving into practice, connecting with old friends and making new ones!
The Mill Retreat Centre is set in 30 acres of stunning grounds. With a spectacular ten-acre lake, a beautiful river running underneath the centre and views of enticing woodland. 5 acres of the grounds are dedicated as a nature reserve to aid in vital conservation work, helping to ensure the continued survival and protection of many local species. All combine to make the Mill Retreat Centre a natural paradise for people and wildlife alike.
Your free time can be spent swimming, rowing or kayaking in the lake, exploring the grounds on foot or by bike (available to hire including tandems and electric bikes), bird-watching or letting yourself relax on the grass next to the lake. There is also a sauna which accomodates around 10-12 people, perfect after a dip in the river!
The mill makes use of hydro-electricity and is self-sufficient in energy, in fact, it is carbon positive, as it makes more green energy than it uses. *Check out their website to see photos!*

All beds are made up with Egyptian cotton sheets, feather and down pillows (hyper-allergenic options) and lovely thick 100% wool blankets or thick warm Duvets.
We are in the process of calculating costs for this year, so save the date and we’ll confirm prices in October.
Single rooms (not ensuite)
Shared Double or Twin with Ensuite
Shared Double or Twin without Ensuite
Rooms with 3 or 4 people sharing (5) £720
Gypsy Wagons* (2) £670
There are two lovely wagons outside, each with a double bed, making exciting and fun outside bedrooms!
Please note 2nd floor Attic bedrooms do not have curtains or blinds on the skylight windows as they are too numerous and high up, but all other bedrooms (on the 1st floor) do have curtains, and the centre does provide eye masks if wanted for attic rooms. If you already know someone you would like to share with, let us know and we can make sure you’re together. Also, let us know whether you want a double or twin beds.
The food will be delicious vegetarian food (including vegan options), largely local, seasonal and organic food. This includes brunch and dinner plus afternoon tea and cake in the middle of the day (or sometimes crunchy crudités as mid-afternoon snack). Tea, coffee and fruit will be available to help yourself to during the day. Do let us know if you have special dietary requirements so we can pass this information to them closer to the time. A packed lunch is included for your journey home on 14th July, if you’d like one.
The Mill Retreat Centre is surprisingly easy to get to. If you’re travelling from the UK, it’s only a 3 – 5 hour journey from London by train and car.
The centre also provide our own private minibus pick-up service for up to 16 passengers (they can arrange travel for larger groups if there is lots of demand for the minibus). Due to the Ulez expansion, the bus will depart from just outside of London – Epsom train station, and will take us directly to the centre (cost from London is £116 return per person). Info on other travel options here.
Minibus collection will be at 11:15am on Wednesday 8th July outside the Costa at Epsom train station (in North Surrey, just outside Greater London, sorry the bus is not able to go closer to central London.) You will be met there by a helpful student (TBC) as well as our lovely driver Pawel. Approximate arrival 6pm (French time) at The Mill.
We will leave the mill at approximately 11:15am and arrive at Epsom station at approximately 4:15pm UK time on Tuesday 14th July. Packed lunch will be provided for your onward journey.
For those not using the minibus, you are welcome to arrive at the centre any time on Wednesday 8th July (ideally by 6pm), so that everyone can have dinner together on the Wednesday evening and have a little opening session together after dinner.
If you are driving an electric car, you’ll be able to recharge it at the Mill.
If you are arriving early enough to want lunch at the centre on the 8th, please let me know in advance and I can ask the centre to prepare this for you.
The latest time for departure from the centre is 12 noon on Tuesday 14th July. A packed lunch will be provided for your onward journey.
On the evening of our arrival day, there will be a welcome session. The retreat schedule will include morning and evening sitting meditation, daily morning mysore-style practice and afternoon workshops on four afternoons – these will involve elements of alignment-based postural practice, restorative yoga, pranayama, meditation and contemplation. There will be free time in the middle of the day to relax or explore.
There will be one afternoon with no afternoon workshop in the middle of the week when you are free to explore after morning practice and brunch. I will hopefully arrange a day trip to visit somewhere lovely in the local area, for those who would fancy that, (provided Pawel can take us on the minibus). I will confirm this closer to the time, there would be an additional cost for this to cover minibus petrol and Pawel’s time. The cost will be somewhere between £20 – 35 per person.
Suitable for anyone who has a committed self-practice and is confident with the order of the poses for most of the first half of the Ashtanga primary series. Get in touch if you’re unsure!
Upon booking please pay your deposit of £250 + your £116 minibus fee (if you want to take the minibus) via our online booking system, see below.
The remaining amount is to be paid directly to us 2 months before the retreat – by 8th May 2025. Payment details will be supplied closer to the time. If you need to pay the remainder in chunks spread over a few months that is fine, just get in touch to arrange it.
